Our Story
Tailoring in Bangkok since 1969
Peninsula Bespoke Tailor opened its doors in Bangkok in 1969, on the same stretch of Si Lom Road where it still cuts today. What began as a single-room workshop serving airline crews and embassy staff has spent 57+ years dressing diplomats, executives, grooms and travellers passing through Bang Rak.
The house is still family-run. Tony, the second-generation master tailor, takes most client consultations personally and works alongside a cutting and finishing team trained in the same workshop. That continuity is why a client measured a decade ago can order again today and receive a garment cut to the same pattern.
Everything is made for one person only. There is no stock sizing, no adjusted base block and no outsourced production line — the pattern is drafted, the cloth is cut by hand, and the garment is fitted before it leaves the shop.

Most bodies are asymmetric — one shoulder sits lower, one blade is fuller — and a base pattern cannot correct that. Measuring each side separately is what removes the collar gap and the pulling across the back.

- Day 1 — consultation and measurements (about 1 hour). You talk through the occasion, your work and the look you want. The tailor takes 30 measurements, notes your posture and shoulder balance, and you choose fabric, lining, lapels, buttons and details. Your personal pattern is drafted that day.
- Day 2 — fitting. You try the suit in its fitting stage. The tailor checks the shoulders, back, sleeve length, waist and trouser break while you move, sit and raise your arms. Adjustments are marked on you.
- Day 3 — final fitting and collection. You try the finished suit. Any last small changes are made, and you take it home, or it is delivered to your hotel.
